Mystery Glitter Flights: How the Live Draw Works

Mystery Glitter Flights are the closest thing we have to ordering a round and letting the bartender surprise you. You choose the count, four or six colors. Ryan draws the colors live from the lotto drum, pulls the matching jars from the Back Bar shelf so you can see each one, then fills your final lineup into 1 oz test tubes.

It is a little bit luck, a little bit live show, and still very much your flight. Pull up a seat. Here is exactly how it works.

1. Order your flight on a live day

Mystery Glitter Flights are available only on live-show days. They restock at noon ET on Tuesday, Thursday, and Saturday, then Ryan draws that day’s orders in the live that night.

Pick the flight count you want, four 1 oz colors or six 1 oz colors, and check out before the live. Want more than one flight? Go for it. Each flight is drawn as its own count, which means more chances for the drum to surprise you.

Flight orders cannot be held for a later live. They are drawn the same day you order them, in that night’s show, so make sure you are shopping a Tuesday, Thursday, or Saturday when flights are back on the menu.

If flights sell out before you get there, click Notify Me When Back in Stock on the Mystery Glitter Flights product page. You will get an email when the next live-day restock goes up, which is a much easier way to catch the next round than trying to remember noon on a busy day.

2. Your flight count tells Ryan how many colors to pull

Your flight count tells Ryan exactly how many tubes to draw for that flight during the live: four pulls for a four-count flight and six pulls for a six-count flight.

The lotto drum is filled with little tubes representing the colors eligible for Mystery Glitter Flights. Those are the regular Back Bar colors. Lab Created Sparkle is a separate part of the menu and does not go into the flight drum, so it is not eligible for a Mystery Glitter Flight pull.

Glow in the dark and UV-reactive glitter are in the drum, though. A flight can absolutely take a turn toward after-dark glow or a UV color-change moment. That is part of why the draw stays interesting.

3. Ryan draws in the order the flight orders came in

When live starts, Ryan works through flight orders in the order they were placed. For each order, she pulls the number of tubes that matches the flight count, then gets the matching glitter jars from the shelf so everyone can see the color behind each pull.

The tube is the draw. The jar is the reveal. You get to see the actual color before the flight is finalized, which is much more fun than opening a mystery package and hoping for the best.

You do not have to be at the live if life happens and something comes up. If you miss your turn, Ryan will draw your flight off camera and ship it out as that night’s flight. Surprise glitter mail is still very good mail.

The draw is still happening that same night, though. A flight cannot be held for the next live show.

4. Every flight gets one swap

If one pull is just not your color, you get one swap for the whole flight. Tell Ryan during the live which color you want to send back, and she will make one new random pull from the drum.

That new pull is the one that stays. There is no second swap, third swap, or trading the replacement back in. One swap gives you a little say while keeping the mystery part of a Mystery Glitter Flight intact.

Think of it as a bartender’s choice with one polite “actually, can I try another?” built in.

5. Already own a pulled color? Let Ryan know

Each eligible Back Bar color appears only once in the lotto drum, so the drum is not going to pull the same color twice into your flight. But you may already own a color from a past ATGL order.

If Ryan pulls a color that is already in your own glitter stash, let her know in chat. She will swap that color for another pull so your Mystery Glitter Flight can bring something new to the collection.

This is also why watching the reveal is useful. You can see the colors take shape as they are drawn and flag a color you already own before the tubes are filled. Ryan is there to keep the round moving, and the chat is part of the back bar crew.

6. The final draw becomes your 1 oz test-tube flight

Once your count is complete, your one swap is settled, and every color in the lineup is different, Ryan fills a 1 oz test tube with each selected glitter. Those tubes, in that final order, are your Mystery Glitter Flight.

It is not a pre-picked sampler and it is not a held order for another live. It is your same-night draw, packed as a little row of colors you may not have reached for on your own.
